Description

Title: General Chemistry: Chemistry in Social Context

Students examine the natural and human world through the lens of chemistry. In particular, they examine small molecular interactions that help determine how humans and other organisms interact with one another. Specific topics include the chemistry of air pollution, neurochemistry, global climate change, and the impact of human produced pollutants in the ecosystem. In the lab, students synthesize compounds and measure chemical attributes of the natural world. Course Fee. Corequisite: XNN 110 and BIO 115.
