Description

Title: Quantum Mechanics & Molecular Spectroscopy

This course starts by exploring the scientific discoveries that prompted the quantum revolution. Students then solve the Schrodinger equation for several important model systems such as particle in a box, harmonic oscillator, rigid rotor, and the hydrogen atom. Students also apply molecular spectroscopy to simple systems. Prerequisites: MTH 141, PHY 111, and any CHM course.
