Description

Central American Culture, History, and Language

Part of a Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL) semester abroad program, this course provides students with a hands-on introduction to the history and culture of Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica; the challenges of conservation and development facing this region; and the language of the region. Students participate in several homestay experiences, visit cultural and historical sites, and engage in discussions, lectures, and reflective writing. Prerequisite: Admittance to CELL Program.
