Description
Students explore the fundamentals of geophysical fluid dynamics in order to understand atmospheric motions. Topics include conservation laws, forces and rotational effects, balanced flow, vorticity, the quasi-geostrophic approximation, and hydrodynamic stability. Prerequisites: MET 365 and PHY 111
