GPS, Mapping and Navigation Skills (NRS 120)

Description
Students practice various spatial skills which are useful for both recreation and professional activities. Students will enhance their spatial proficiency by learning tools and techniques to navigate in remote locations and record spatial information. Topics covered include: basic and advanced compass use, basic surveying and land measurement, overland navigation, map making, GPS use, and collecting and using spatial data. This course will meet for two hours weekly for 4 weeks plus two 4 hour half days on two separate weekends. Course Fee $25
