Description
Students study the content, methods, and safety of cooperative and initiative games, and learn to use and implement a ropes course as a classroom for diverse populations, especially as applied to physical education programs, therapeutic adventure, camp or corporate groups. The emphasis of the adventure theory is on teaching, methodology, and the hard skills of course facilitation. Students who successfully complete the course are prepared to teach adventure education in elementary and secondary settings, to facilitate adventure programming, and to work toward ACCT certification.
This course is offered at Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua, WI only.
