Description

Students study the role culture, art and creativity play in sustainable economic and community development. Taking an interdisciplinary approach, students learn about cultural planning, community arts activism, creative placemaking, and creative economy policies enacted across a range of contexts. Students also explore both the positive and negative impacts of culture-led development including revitalization and gentrification. Prerequisite: SCD 110
