Description

In the modern and technologically-driven world, physical contact and intimacy with nature seems to be fading rapidly creating a society that now has to struggle to have a connection with nature. More and more evidence is continuing to demonstrate how important direct contact with the outdoors is to human beings. Participants will learn about the dynamics of this struggle and explore on-going commitments to the common good through reducing the gap in our society between people and nature. Participants will also examine their own interdependent relationship with nature while simultaneously designing an addition to the Nature Discovery trail at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center. Transportation is provided to NGLVC. Covers the social Wellness dimension.
