Description

This workshop introduces participants to the river environment via a decked whitewater boat (kayak or C-1). Emphasis on gaining solid understanding of river currents, maneuvering the craft, and safety/hazard concerns. Course fee covers cost of equipment rental and food. This course serves as a pre-requisite for OED water-based skills course. Meets the physical Wellness requirement.
