Description

Students study methods used in social science research, including surveys, interviewing, ethnography, participatory action, content analysis, and secondary analysis. Students also apply basic statistical concepts to real social issues through the use of computer-assisted statistical packages such as R and SPSS. Finally, students apply their new knowledge and skills by completing research projects and presenting them to the class. Prerequisite: MTH 107
