Connections Block: HIS 263-B020 History of the Middle East and REL 330-B020 Islam
In this block students explore the intersections of Middle East history and the religion of Islam. The courses cover the rise of Islam and its effect on the culture of the Middle East, the tumultuous Twentieth Century in the Middle East, and current problems in the Middle East today. They also cover the nature of the Muslim religion today, and the ways that Islam has interacted with historical events.
