Description
This course focuses on the properties and environmental transport of organic chemicals as well as the functional group transformations most often encountered in biological and environmental systems. Students study the following major classes of chemicals: aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alkyl halides, alcohols, carbonyl compounds, and amines.
