Aqueous Environmental Geochemistry (GSC 406)

Description

In this course students study the flow of groundwater and the chemical changes that it undergoes as it moves through aquifers. Students learn what controls the chemistry of water in the environment and learn to test water-quality parameters and how to determine the rates and directions of groundwater flow. An important theme that runs through the course is how humans impact water quality and how water quality can be improved. Course Fee $25 Prerequisites: GSC 107, GSC 112, or GSC 120
