Description
Students monitor current weather and learn techniques used in operational forecasting. Topics explored include: thermodynamics, air mass classification, air-sea interaction, and general circulation, specifically on the synoptic and planetary scales. Quasi-geostrophic and hydrostatic approximations are introduced. Course fee.
