Description
Students examine the relationship between text and music in a wide range of musical styles. Discussions include an examination of poetry and metaphor, musical and literary forms, tropes, and transumption of ideas. Students gain experience with art-song, opera, musical theater, as well as select popular genres. Connections Curriculum; Humanities.
