Description

Full Title: Field Based Indigenous Food Sovereignty

This course challenges student understanding of food and food systems, prompting reflection on their relationships with the environment and what is commonly referred to as “food.” Students study Tribal Food Sovereignty by exploring how local tribes meet needs in their communities while also considering contemporary issues such as climate change, environmental justice, and the impact of environmental degradation on tribal foodways and lifeways. Course Fee $40
