Description

Studying a range of gender and sexuality issues within Indigenous contexts, students analyze how gender and sexuality inform larger historical contexts, especially colonization and decolonization. Students consider how political, cultural, and historical factors influence these aspects of Indigenous identities by exploring both scholarship and creative works. Topics include Indigenous feminisms, kinship, and Two-Spirit identities. Prerequisite: any NAS or GWS course or Junior standing
