Description

Human Ecology: Relations Between Humans and the Environment

Part of a Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL) semester abroad program, this course explores the question, "What is the appropriate relationship of human beings to the earth?" To facilitate this exploration, students study specific human and ecological issues facing the people and environments of Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Field trips, inquiry-based learning, and service learning are integral to the course. Prerequisites: Completion of a two-course block or SCD 110 and Admittance to CELL Program.
