Description
Learn the basics of knitting and complete a pair of socks in a social environment. We'll learn basic stitches, talk about knitting's role as a traditional craft and form of activism (mitten trees and yarn bombing), and learn to function on many levels in a knitting group. We will work will re-purposed sweaters and examine how recycling can be a statement in your creations. Course Fee. $25 course fee covers cost of materials and needles you will keep. Meets the social and economic Wellness requirements.
