Description

In this workshop, we will explore the rich heritage and diversity of techniques that generations of canoeists have utilized to enjoy the lakes and rivers of the Northwoods. Students will become familiar with the history of the canoe, basic paddle strokes for still and moving water, and the fundamentals of canoeing safety. Through a combination of classroom instruction, on the water learning, and a visit to the WI Canoe Heritage Museum, students who complete this course will leave with the basic skills and knowledge to enjoy a lifetime of canoeing. Course Fee. Covers the physical Wellness dimension.
