Description

Learn about eastern philosophy, mysticism, meditation, and ancient Chinese culture while opening to self-discovery by reading and discussing two books that shed light on Lao Tzu?s Tao Te Ching. The first book, Nine Nights with the Taoist Master, weaves a translation of the Tao Te Ching into a novel set in ancient China. The story places Lao Tzu in a turbulent border city where, at the prince?s invitation, he spends nine nights with the prince, scholars, traders, courtiers, and monks explaining the secrets of the Tao?s power. The second book, Tao: The Way of God, talks about the power of the universe, the spiritual dimension, and breaking beyond the limits or our man-made artificial world. Instructor Catherine Lange began studying in 1973 with the author of both books?Master Waysun Liao, who studied with a wandering Taoist in a Taoist temple in Taiwan until he became a full Tai Chi and Tao master. Course fee covers the cost of the book. Covers the spiritual Wellness dimension.
