Description
In this workshop we will begin by exploring basic hand drumming techniques and exercises. We will study and play traditional polyrhythms from West Africa as well as discussing their traditional and contemporary cultural context. Participants will also have the opportunity to accompany ?Intro to West African Dance? sessions. Students that complete African Drumming AND African Dance will also receive wellness credit for completing the spiritual dimension requirement.
